Al took a series of photos with the Close-up Stereo Camera while Ed was studying the traverse map. The photographed area is
72 mm by 82.8 mm.  Note that the soil compressed by the MET's rubber tire broke into irregular plates after the load was released.  Similar behavior can be seen in some of the Hasselblad photos from the various missions
