Joel Iskowitz TITLE: "Sources of Light," oil

The Space Shuttle Atlantis carrying the Gamma Ray Observatory (GRO) sits on the launch pad as the image of Albert Einstein is symbolically reflected in the night sky. Einstein's Theories of Relativity laid the foundation for understanding astrophysical processes and cosmic forces. Many of the questions that Einstein posed regarding the distribution of light, energy, and matter will be answered by information collected by GRO. Einstein's genius, the glowing Shuttle on the pad, the bright cosmic matter in the background represent "sources of light" which will help us to better comprehend our universe.
