EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

The HQ Facilities and Administrative Services Division (FASD) is responsible for the overarching Emergency Management Program at NASA Headquarters. This encompasses safety, continuity of operations (COOP), emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning.

Emergency Management at the Agency level is managed by the Office of Protective Services (OPS). OPS is responsible for establishing Agency-wide policy on emergency preparedness for NASA. However, there are times when NASA Headquarters and the Agency share responsibility in addressing emergencies.
