1.1.2.4.1 Nuclear Waste

Definition: Radioactive by-products resulting from fusion, fission, refinement, or processing of radioactive materials. This includes all solid and liquid radioactive wastes. This does not include the processing and storage facilities for such waste. This does not include any latent waste released into or present in the environment.

1.1.2.4.1.1 Medical Nuclear Waste: Radioactive by-products resulting from refinement, processing of radioactive materials for medical use or research.
