The SDI Group will write a report summarizing the results of the 1996 selection cycle. The report will contain descriptions of each 1997 SDI. Each SDI description will include its name, definition, relationship to the SDI Framework, relationship to other SDI, the issue it covers, the rationale for selection, and graphs for data selected. The report will briefly describe the selection process and the SDI Framework. The report will also document lessons learned from the 1996 Selection cycle and recommended changes for the 1997 selection cycle. The long-term strategy for SDI development and maintenance will appear under a separate document.
Writing the final report will occur in stages throughout the SDI selection process. The SDI Group will write an annotated outline of the final report to support Step 4, "Select Proposed SDI." The SDI Group will prepare an early draft of the final report for Step 5, "Review Proposed SDI." The SDI Group will finish the final report after completing Step 6, "Get Data."
