ARTIFACT OPPORTUNITIES
NASA offers a number of programs to make available artifacts from NASA programs to eligible museums and educational institutions through both loans and direct transfers.



Space Food
NASA is offering dehydrated astronaut space food to educational institutions and museums. Would you like to have a piece of history for your classroom, lecture space or exhibit? One package of approximately three food packets is available on a first-come, first-served basis to each applicant.

Space shuttle orbiter thermal protection system tiles are available to educational institutions and museums. Register to acquire tiles through the new NASA Space Programs Historic Artifacts Prescreening Web site.

Space Shuttle Main Landing Gear Tire Loan Program
Flown and un-flown space shuttle tires are available for loan to eligible organizations.

Artifact Transfer Program
Materials no longer needed by NASA that could be of interest to museums and educational organizations are available to eligible organizations through the General Services Administration's NASA Space Programs Historic Artifacts Prescreening Web site.
