Recent Data Mining Advances of Aviation Safety Data

Ashok N. Srivastava, Ph.D. has seventeen years of research, development, and consulting experience in areas such as text mining, machine learning, data mining, decision support, and data analysis with applications in business and scientific domains. He currently leads the Intelligent Data Understanding group at NASA Ames Research Center, a research and development unit focused on building data mining, machine learning, and optimization techniques to address critical issues at NASA. Prior to joining NASA, he led commercial data mining research and development for forecasting attrition in Corporate Banking at the Bank of America, clickstream analysis of e-commerce sites, new methods for profiling consumer behavior, as well as patented algorithms for forecasting financial events on Wall St. He has two patents awarded (#6,484,123, and #6,594,622) and two pending.
