This version of the oblique wing concept combined the fuselage with the
wing into one, much like a flying wing. In this design the engines and
tail sections are mounted such that they swiveled. At low speeds (take
off and landing) the aircraft looked similar to a conventional aircraft,
as its speed increased the engines and tail rotated until the aircraft
look much like a surfboard. This concept had superior performance over
the original oblique wing concept.
