Boeing 757 Cockpit Exhibit

An exhibit that has a room the size of 10x10x8ft, that builds sound-baffles around a kiosk and simulates aircraft Image left: This demonstrator of a Boeing 757 cockpit illustrates the areas of flight deck technology NASA is seeking to improve.

This "flying laboratory" exhibit shows how NASA uses real cockpits to conduct research to increase aircraft safety, operating efficiency and compatibility with future air traffic control systems. It is a vital research tool in support of the agency's Aviation Safety and Aviation Systems capacity programs. The exhibit includes the 757 cockpit display with a 42-inch flat screen television that plays video.
