NASA
/ AF Space Command /
NRO Partnership Council
This Partnership Council was formed several years ago by NASA Administrator
Dan Goldin and Air Force Space Command commander, General Howell
Estes. The National Reconnaissance Office was added as a third member
a year later. With the Air Force reorganization of 2002, U.S. Space
Command was added to the Council. When USSTRATCOM at Omaha absorbed
USPACECOM on 1 October, 2002, it became the fourth member of the
Council. The council discusses issues of mutual interest to the
partners and establishes action items. The Council meets twice a
year and the host rotates among the partners. The next meeting will
be 8 October, 2002 at NASA Headquarters.
