This Partnership Council was formed several years ago by NASA Administrator Dan Goldin and Air Force Space Command commander, General Howell Estes. The National Reconnaissance Office was added as a third member a year later. With the Air Force reorganization of 2002, U.S. Space Command was added to the Council. When USSTRATCOM at Omaha absorbed USPACECOM on 1 October, 2002, it became the fourth member of the Council. The council discusses issues of mutual interest to the partners and establishes action items. The Council meets twice a year and the host rotates among the partners. The next meeting will be 8 October, 2002 at NASA Headquarters.
