Strategic Plan

Mission
Develop an Agency-wide cadre of effective leaders who align with NASA's mission and vision of the future - leaders who think strategically and are dedicated to creating measurable results that matter to the American people.

Welcome to the NASA Executive Potential Program (NEPP). Results are not an academic aspect of the program but are the core of the NEPP development year. Participants will not only grapple with how leaders target and achieve meaningful results, but will actually produce real results during their program year.

Candidates are selected competitively from across the Agency as part of NASA's succession planning process. Employees interested in applying for the NEPP should speak to their management and carefully review the selection guidelines and enclosed information.

Employees participating in the NASA Executive Potential Program are required to continue in their service of the Federal Government for a period of at least equal to three times the length of the training program (3 years in the case of the EPP) unless the employee is involuntarily separated in accordance with: 5 CFR U.S.C. 4109 (a)(1) (1997). We take this commitment seriously - our aim is to invest in future leaders in public service.
