This symposium is sponsored by NASA, Aerospace Corporation, and U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center. This symposium will bring together system engineering and risk management professionals involved in the acquisition and operation of space defense and exploration systems. Leaders and practitioners from DOD, NASA, other government agencies industry, and academia will share knowledge and information about best practices, lessons learned, new acquisition policies, industry initiatives, and new and alternative methods and tools to mitigate the risks inherent in space system development and operation. The symposium will include nationally recognized speakers, juried technical papers, workshops, and poster and networking sessions. A comprehensive set of tutorials will be offered February 26.
