The NASA HQ Badging Office is located inside the HQ Security Office in room 1K26, in the 1J20 Suite near the West Lobby. The badging office is open for business between 8:30 and 11:30 AM and 12:30 to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Walk ins are welcome though appointments are preferred and take precedence.
Customer will visit the Badging Office for the following services: enroll for smart card badges, pick up smart card badges, receive temporary badges, reset smart card PINs, receive replacement badges.
Should an employee have their NASA badge lost, misplaced, or stolen, the employee must immediately contact the Badging Office at 358-2422. If after business hours contact the NASA HQ Security Control Center at 358-1616. Employees must then submit a formal statement concerning the circumstances for the loss of the badge. Employees should contact the NASA HQ Investigator at 358-0198 for instructions. Employees will not receive a temporary badge or be enrolled for a replacement smart card badge until the Investigator has received an adequate statement.
