The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a resource that offers free, confidential evaluation, short-term counseling, education, and referral services to Headquarters civil service employees and their families. Professional counselors assist employees and their families with problems that can adversely affect work and personal life. Often, employees find it useful to talk to a counselor who can provide objective feedback and a different perspective. EAP services are provided by Federal Occupational Health (FOH), using licensed and certified staff. An EAP counselor is available 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by calling 1-800-222-0364.
The HQ EAP counselor is available on-site on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings in Room CE98 (within the Health Unit/CD70) where she can be reached at (202) 358- 0130, and at other times by appointment. Also, the FOH website www.foh4you.com offers information and resources on a wide variety of Workplace and Employee Assistance topics.
