This is a list of useful databases which are available to our patrons. The library staff also has access to several other databases (for instance, Factiva). Our patrons can ask us to search for articles and reports in these databases or for demonstrations in how to best search the databases that are available to them.
Astrophysics Data System (ADS) - Offers preprints and full text of articles from many scientific journals and conference proceedings.
Aviation Week Intelligence Network. - "...an integrated online platform that provides a comprehensive array of news, data, analytics and business information across the key sectors of military/defense, space, commercial aviation, MRO and business aviation." Limited to NASA HQ employees.
Department of Energy Information Bridge - Offers the full-text of many DOE
publications from 1995 to the present.
DoD Scientific and Technical Information Network - The public version of the Defense Technical Information Center's STINET database.
EBSCOhost - A journal database indexing 1,400,000 articles. A few journals
are available in full-text online. Articles from most other journals can be ordered through the database or requested from the Library. Limited to NASA HQ employees.
Education Resources Information Center - The ERIC is a database of educational research and information.
Federal Digital System - Includes the full-text of the Budget of the U.S. Government, Catalog of U.S. Government Publications, Code of Federal Regulations, bills, laws, hearings, reports, Congressional Record, Economic Indicators, Federal Register, GAO Comptroller General Decisions, US Code, Supreme Court Decisions, U.S. Government Manual, Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents, and Public Papers of the Presidents.
Great Images in NASA (GRIN) - Images of significant historical interest selected by the NASA History Office. Images are arranged by subject and NASA center and offered in a range of sizes.
Johnson Space Center Document Index System - indexes documents in the
Johnson Scientific and Technical Information Center. Some of the documents are in full-text. Many are not in the NASA
Aeronautics and Space Database. Limited to NASA HQ employees.
Kennedy Space Center Documentation Homepage - KSC Tech
Doc System, KSC Electronic Documentation System (KEDS), Materials & Processes Documents, Shuttle Drawing System

Medline/PubMed - A service of the National Library of Medicine,
provides access to over 11 million citations from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. To search only space life
sciences click on Limits and under Subsets select Space Life Sciences.

Policy Directives (NPDs), Policy Charters (NPCs), and Procedures and Guidelines (NPGs), formerly known as NHBs and
NASA Procurement Reference Library - NASA FAR
Supplement, Grant and Cooperative Agreement Handbook, and guidance for submitting unsolicited proposals.
NASA Standards - NASA standards and NASA preferred standards including
everything from AIAA and DOD to ISO and SAE. Also includes NASA handbooks. Many documents are available in full-text
or can be requested by NASA employees. Open to the public with registration.
NASA Technical Report Server - The NTRS is a publicly accessible technical reports database.
