DMI Wins HITSS2 Contract
Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) has been selected as the new contractor for the NASA Headquarters IT Support Services (HITSS) contract.
DMI, a Bethesda, Maryland 8(a) certified small disadvantaged business, was founded in 2002, and has experience providing IT services for the federal Government under several contracts. They were recently named one of the 50 Best Places to Work in Greater Washington for 2012 by the Washington Business Journal. DMI’s significant subcontractors for the HITSS contract will be ADNET and A.I. solutions.
Phase-In Plan
Phase-In of the new contract is underway and will end on September 30. During the phase-In period, InDyne, as the incumbent, will continue to be responsible for planning and management of information systems, life-cycle support for applications and information systems, operation of the HQ Data Center, systems engineering and integration, IT security, and customer support. DMI will focus on preparing to assume full contract responsibility on October 1, 2012.
Temporary Hold
As part of the transition from the current HQ HITSS contractor (InDyne, Inc.) to the new HITSS contractor, Digital Management Inc. (DMI), a temporary hold will take effect in several support areas to ensure close-out and a smooth transition.
PCMall Catalog Orders: The cut-off date for placing orders on the current HITSS catalog (PCMall) is September 7, 2012. Only orders that are approved and funded by close of business September 7 will be processed. All others will be held in the queue for the start of the new contract. DMI, will use the same HITSS catalog and process, and will begin placing orders under the new contract on or about October 1. For questions, contact the HITSS Catalog Order Lead at 358-1348.
Deployment Schedule: Only emergency software releases will be deployed September 24 – October 5. If there is an application deployment scheduled during this window, the application owner will be contacted to coordinate a new date.
