Many conference rooms at NASA headquarters feature conference speakerphones.  These specialized phones offer outstanding sound quality, expandable microphone coverage and access to many features of the HQ desktop phones.  The chart below shows the different types of speakerphones which are featured in HQ conference rooms:

The Cisco 7937 conferencing speakerphone unit feature enhanced sound quality and expandable microphones to increase coverage so all participants can be heard.

    The Polycom SoundStation 2 can still be found in a few conference rooms at NASA HQ.  These units feature excellent sound quality for smaller conference rooms.

    Desktop Phone
    The Cisco model 9971 is the current desktop phone at NASA HQ, and is used by most users in the building.  This phone features a high-quality speakerphone and can be found in many smaller conference rooms.  It can be used as an alternative to a conference speakerphone unit when the number of participants is small.
