COMPUTER TRAINING CENTER – Microsoft PowerPoint Workshops

The NASA HQ Computer Training Center offers various levels of training in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Windows:

PowerPoint 2013 for Windows: En Pointe with PowerPoint!
Level: Advanced

Course Description: Please be sure to bring your laptop to class with you. In this workshop, you will learn advanced features of PowerPoint 2013. Learn how to easily control formatting with Master Slides, change the slide size, and add interest to your presentations with embedded video, music, and Excel spreadsheets. Learn about file sharing and Lync 2013 integration. Learn new features in PowerPoint 2013 like combining presentations and Presenter View. Finally, we will discuss how to work with presentations created in older versions of PowerPoint.

Registration: Register in SATERN (search “en point”). Availability is offered on a first-come first-serve basis. Click here for help with searching and registering in SATERN.

PowerPoint 2010 for Windows: En Pointe with PowerPoint!
Level: Advanced

Course Description: In only 1 hour, you’ll learn advanced features of Microsoft PowerPoint.  Learn how to easily control formatting with Master Slides, add zing to your presentations with embedded video, music, and Excel spreadsheets, as well as how to troubleshoot your presentations.

Training Schedule: This course is available upon request. Contact the Computer Training Center at 358-1111 or ctc@hq.nasa.gov to schedule an appointment.

REGISTER IN SATERN

Need help locating and registering for classes or workshops in SATERN?  Follow these instructions:

  1. Login to SATERN.
  2. Search for the designated “key words” in the “Search Catalog” box in the upper right corner.
  3. Locate your desired course offering in the list and click “Add to Learning Plan” at the far right.
  4. Your Learning Plan will be displayed.  Again, locate your desired course offering, click on the blue “Offering Details” box to see available sessions.
  5. After a moment, available sessions will appear.  Click the blue “Register” button to the right of a session you wish to attend. 
  6. The Registration screen appears.  Click the gray “Confirm” button in the bottom right corner.
