WIRELESS HOTSPOTS

Using Wireless at Hotspots

A hotspot is a location where you can gain wireless network access to the Internet. Some hotspots offer free service while others charge you for using their service. Before using Wireless Hotspots make sure that your Anti-Virus software is up-to-date and that you are running firewall software on your computer. You will need to follow the instructions provided by the hotspot provider to use their service.  DO NOT install any software provided by hotspot providers. Some examples are provided below:

  • Panera  Bread:  Using Windows XP on NC series laptop with built-in  W500 Card
  • Panera Bread: Using Mac OS X
