Automated Uninstallation of CENS
IT POC’s
October 24, 2008

The automated solution for removing the Computer Emergency Notification System (CENS) client from Windows computers has been completed and successfully pilot tested.  This uninstaller will execute silently when computers authenticate to the HQ domain, or immediately on computers which are already logged into the HQ domain, and will not require a reboot.

The CENS uninstaller will be “pushed” immediately, beginning today.  Users of “no-push” list computers which are restricted from receiving automated updates are already being contacted by technicians to have CENS removed manually.

Should you need assistance, call the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) at 358-HELP (4357) or 1-866-4NASAHQ (462‑7247) or send an e-mail.
