SYSTEMS OPERATIONS BRANCH
Chief -- Dennis Groth
The Systems Operations Branch is responsible for the development, integration, maintenance and operation of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure systems and services for NASA Headquarters. The services provided through this Branch include IT systems engineering, network and computer room operations, telephone services, cable TV, computer equipment maintenance and inventory program, and software license and management programs. In addition to the Headquarters-based systems and services, this Branch is also responsible for the integration of Agency-based systems and services into the Headquarters computing environment. The Branch is also responsible for the Headquarters IT Security program which includes developing IT policies and procedures and HQ-specific implementations of Federal and agency regulations and instructions. Additionally, this Branch is responsible for a full-service Communications Support Services Center (CSSC) that produces professional, high-quality products and offers clear and creative communication strategies. This includes services such as consultation; creative writing and editing; printing; graphic, exhibit, multimedia design, duplication, and document services.
