The Honorable Jack Higgins, Inspector General for the United States Department of Education, will sponsor the PCIE Information Technology Roundtable beginning in June 2004. The NASA OIG will work with the Department of Education OIG to facilitate a smooth transition of responsibilities.

During my tenure, I believe the Roundtable has achieved a great deal in fulfilling it's mission of facilitating effective IT audits, evaluations, and investigations by Inspectors General and providing a vehicle for the expression of the IG community's perspective on Government-wide IT operations. It has been a great pleasure to serve as the Roundtable's sponsor, and I look forward to continued participation by my office. I have great confidence that the Department of Education OIG will continue to enhance the Roundtable's effectiveness in the IG community.
