The Office of Inspector General (OIG) completed a physical security and safety assessment of the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex. This activity was important to ensure that critical deep space communications and tracking assets are sufficiently protected and that the Agency's workers are safe.

NASA management took proactive action to address the nine recommendations conveyed in the draft report relating to physical security and safety.
