David Saleeba - Assistant Administrator



As the Assistant Administrator for Security Program Protection, Mr. Saleeba is responsible for ensuring the protection of NASA employees, missions, and property worldwide. He also serves as the senior security, counterintelligence, and counter terrorism advisor to the NASA Administrator.

Prior to his appointment as Assistant Administrator for Security Program Protection, Mr. Saleeba spent over 29 years in law enforcement and security, including 26 years with the United States Secret Service, where his last assignment was as Special Agent In Charge and Chief of the Secret Service's Intelligence Division.

In this position, he was charged with monitoring and managing intelligence information relating to the security of the President, the Vice President, and foreign heads-of-state, and any activity which could place those under the protection of the Secret Service in harms way.

Past duties with the Secret Service included assignments in Miami, New York City, New Mexico, and Washington, including two White House protective tours.

Mr. Saleeba served five years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as the Special Agent In Charge where he supervised all Secret Service activities and responsibilities in the state.

Prior to his joining the Secret Service, Mr. Saleeba served with the Metro-Dade County Police Department in Miami, Fla., first as a police officer and then as a detective with the Organized Crime Bureau.

Mr. Saleeba is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.
