Rich has worked for the Asbury Park Press, a Gannett newspaper in N.J., since 1979. Prior to that he was a radio writer for 9 years. He has a B.A. in English from Montclair State College in N.J., and an M.S. in advertising from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications.
