CANCELLATION OF PIC 01-02

PURPOSE: To cancel PIC 01-02.

BACKGROUND: PIC 01-02 was issued on February 9, 2001, to provide a class deviation staying the effective date of Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-21, Contractor Responsibility, Labor Relations Costs, and Costs Relating to Legal and Other Procedures. The PIC was effective until the FAR Council addressed the continued applicability of FAC 97-21. The FAR Council published FAC 97-24 in the Federal Register on April 3, 2001, immediately staying the effective date of FAC 97-21 until a final decision is made on revoking FAC 97-21 or until December 29, 2001, whichever is earlier.

GUIDANCE: PIC 01-02 is cancelled, and contracting officers must comply with FAC 97-24.

CANCELLATION: This PIC cancels PIC 01-02.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This PIC is effective as dated and shall remain in effect until cancelled or superseded.
