FEDERAL PROCUREMENT DATA SYSTEM REPORTING

PURPOSE: To establish a method of providing accurate and current guidance to the Centers for reporting their procurement data to the Federal Procurement Data System.

REFERENCE: FAR Subpart 4.6 and NFS Subpart 1804.6, Contract Reporting.

BACKGROUND: Historically, occasional minor administrative changes to the Federal Procurement Data System necessitated frequent re-issuance of the Procurement Information Circular that provided highly detailed coding instructions. In order to avoid the administrative burden of those re-issuances, detailed current guidance will be continuously maintained at http://ec.msfc.nasa.gov/hq/library/FPDS-NG/index.html.

GUIDANCE: Center FPDS-NG Application Administrators shall advise those individuals responsible for entering data into FPDS-NG to refer to the guidance at the URL above to supplement the instructions available within the FPDS-NG portal. When any Center FPDS-NG Application Administrator observes that a change/update to any of the documents at that URL is needed, they will notify the Office of Procurement Data Manager at (202) 358-0472, who, after approving the change/update, will pass the action to the Office of Procurement Webmaster who will make the change on the website.

CANCELATION: PIC 04-08 is hereby canceled.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This PIC is effective as dated and shall remain in effect until canceled or superseded.
