REINSTATEMENT OF NASA MENTOR-PROTÉGÉ PROGRAM
PURPOSE: To cancel PIC 07-01, which temporarily suspended NASA’s Mentor-Protégé
Program pending a program review to be completed by the NASA Office of Small
Business Programs. That review has been
completed, and changes to the program are being finalized for implementation in
the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) Subpart 1819.72.
Pending finalization of NFS changes, NASA’s current Mentor-Protégé
program is being reinstated to ensure continued availability of the program to
qualified small disadvantaged business concerns, Historically Black Colleges
and Universities, minority institutions, and women-owned small business
concerns.
GUIDANCE: The class deviation to NFS Subpart
1819.72 temporarily suspending the application, review, and approval of new
mentor-protégé agreements is hereby revoked.
Effective upon issuance of this PIC, Subpart 1819.72 is reinstated,
including the inclusion of Mentor-Protégé clauses in solicitations and
contracts as prescribed at 1819.7219.
CANCELLATION: PIC 07-01 is cancelled.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This PIC is
effective as dated and shall remain in effect until cancelled or superseded.
