Future-X Pages

NASA is planning to continue the development and demonstration of space transportation technology through the use of experimental vehicles. Two series of demonstrators are planned.

“Pathfinder” vehicles are flight experiments whose purpose is to demonstrate a key technology in flight. They are done quickly, for low costs, and for a wide range of technologies and applications.

“Trailblazer” vehicles are larger integrated vehicles that demonstrate the technology, operation, and programatic viability of an advanced technology transportation system.
