So Near

The large, white rock on the local horizon at the left is now known as Saddle Rock.  In a post-mission map of the immediate area, it is labeled '1107' and is about 65 meters from Station C-prime (C').  The more distant of the two large rocks on the right is labeled '1108' on the map and is only about 30 meters from C'.  The nearest point on the rim of Cone Crater is only about 70 meters beyond '1108'.  After They leave C', they will make their way to Saddle Rock for some  quick samples.  That will be their closest approach to the rim - only about 35 meters
